Privacy Policy
Interfic is a Chrome extension published by the operator of interfic.io. This policy describes how the extension handles your data.
What we collect
We do not operate a backend server for Interfic. The extension stores settings, scan history, and optional collection data locally in Chrome’s extension storage on your device.
Interfic requests access to websites so it can draw the selection overlay on the page you are viewing and look up public price pages (PriceCharting, SportsCardsPro, eBay). It does not scrape your personal accounts. If eBay blocks a direct request, the extension may briefly open a background tab to load public sold listings, then close that tab.
What leaves your device
- AI identification: When you scan a card, cropped images are sent directly from your browser to the AI provider you configure (Google Gemini or OpenAI) using your own API key. Interfic does not receive or store these images.
- Price lookups: The extension fetches public web pages from PriceCharting, SportsCardsPro, and eBay to parse prices. No personal account data is sent to Interfic.
API keys
Your API keys are saved only in local extension storage and are used solely to call the provider you chose. They are never transmitted to interfic.io or any Interfic server.
This website
The marketing site at interfic.io is static hosting. We do not use the site to collect card images or API keys. Standard hosting logs may apply as operated by our host (e.g. Vercel).
